Rick Brotherton

Practice Manager

Rick Brotherton has served as our practice manager since January 2020. Mr Rick is married to Dr Brotherton and is the Pastor of Grace Fellowship here in Rogersville, TN. He is a realtor and broker at Creye Like in Rogersville as well.

You will find Rick filling many roles at Dr B’s. You may see him putting up orders, entering data, preparing payroll, working on a computer, or cleaning the deck. Rick enjoys working with the team at Dr B’s. He brings calmness and a great sense of humor which is always appreciated in a busy practice. He routinely leads the team in prayer to make sure the day starts out on a good note and in the hands of the Lord. He assists and takes care of the many needs the team and the hospital has without every complaining. We appreciate him very much.

You will see Mr Rick at our events and especially the Christmas event where he and Santa make sure all pets, children, and adults have photos made with Santa.

Rick and Dr B have 4 children (Jordan, Daniel, Sarah, and Gracie) and 4 dogs (Jackson, Shelby, Mylee, and Ellie Mae) , 5 cats, (Punpkin Spice, Trump, Elsa, Brave, and Simba) and 2 very large goldfish (Dotty and Sunshine).

Regina Brotherton

Dr Brotherton completed her undergraduate degree from ETSU and graduated from UT College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Dr Brotherton is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. She obtained her PhD in Higher Education Administration with an emphasis on human development from Marywood University in Pennsylvania.

Dr Brotherton started her career out in Piney Flats, TN and from there she moved to Scranton, PA where she took a position as an instructor and later became the program director for the veterinary technology program at Johnson College. After Katrina, Dr Brotherton and her family move to Slidell, LA to minister to those in need at that time. She worked as Chief of Staff at Banfield. Later, she joined Louisiana Technical College where she started a veterinary technology program. While there she developed and implemented a statewide certificate program for veterinary assistants that gave high school juniors and seniors in the ag programs to gain certification and a seat in the veterinary technology program. Her next appointment was Associate Professor at Mississippi State University where she developed and implemented a veterinary technology program that was housed in the veterinary college at MSU. In 2012, Dr Brotherton moved back to Tennessee and became am Associate Dean at Lincoln Memorial University where she served as the student affairs dean as a founding dean of the veterinary college.
Dr Brotherton is a nationally known educator. She has served on the accrediting Committee of Veterinary Technology Education Association for 7 years. She served for 8 years on the AAVSB as an item writer for the National Veterinary Technician Examination. She has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association for 23 years.

Dr Brotherton enjoys providing optimum health care for her patients. Her motto is to treat the patients like her very own. Education in the health and well being of pets is her focus. She is caring and compassionate to each of her patients and loves what she does. Dr Brotherton is experienced but will reach out to colleague and referral centers to ensure patients receive the care they need.

Dr Brotherton has a wonderful health care team that mirrors her compassion and treatment of patients. She states, “I have never worked with a more dedicated, committed, caring and compassionate team than I have right now”. She opened Dr B’s Healthy Pets July 2017 and looks forward to serving our community for years to come.

Dr Brotherton has been married to Pastor Rick Brotherton for 41 years. They reside in Rogersville and have four children. They have several dogs and cats to complete their household. Dr Brotherton serves as an Assistant Pastor to Senior Pastor Rick Brotherton at Grace Fellowship here in Rogersville.

Tessa Rodgers

Tessa Rodgers started at Dr B’s Healthy Pets in the spring of 2023 as a client services representative and has since transitioned to a nurse.

After working for 20+ years as a legal assistant in California, Tessa and her husband, Joel, and their furbaby Remi, relocated to Rogersville area. Since settling that have adopted their kitty, Henrietta, and their newest rescue, Murphy. All the neighborhood animals, dogs, cats, chickens and donkeys alike, have come to know Tessa as the neighborhood treat lady.

Tessa is turning her lifelong love of animals into a career by enrolling in the Penn Foster Veterinary Assistant course, with hopes of taking the national examination to become an Accredited Veterinary Assistant.

Amanda "Mandi" Russell

Amanda “Mandi” is a veterinary assistant. Mandie has a lifelong love of animals with a strong background in customer service. She enjoys building genuine relationships with clients and helping both pets and their families feel comfortable and cared for.

At 37, Mandi is also a proud single mother to a teenage daughter, which has strengthened her patience, empathy, and dedication. She’s excited to continue learning and growing in the veterinary field while providing compassionate, reliable care every day.

Gracie Brotherton

Gracie is Rick and Dr Brotherton’s daughter. She is an assistant to the staff. Most of you all recognize her pleasant, soft-spoken voice on the phone reminding you of your pet’s next appointment at Dr B’s.

You will catch her praying over your pets, reading to them if they are in the hospital and she helps to take care of their nutrition and husbandry needs.

She loves theatre, pets and small children. She has been on stage since she was 14. She has volunteered at Lamplight, Kingsport Theatre Guild, For His Glory and Theatre Bristol. One of her biggest roles was when she was cast at Theatre Bristol as Annelle in Steel Magnolias. She leads praise and worship at Grace Fellowship and she is a member of the Mercy Mountain Band. You may want to catch her at one of the productions!

She is a great addition to our health care team at Dr B’s.

Hailey Dillon

Hailey Dillon has a passion for animals. She has loved them since she could walk. She is active in animal rescue and when time permits, she fosters animals as well. She has 6 dogs and is from Bean Station. She is excited to become more knowledgeable and move farther in her career as a veterinary assistant. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technology Program with hopes for getting her credentials at a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) in Tennessee. Hailey is very empathetic, kind, compassionate and a great communicator. We are excited she is on our health care team.

Elizabeth Westbrook

Elizabeth is a pet care advocate that recently relocated to Rogersville. She has served as a technician for over 7 years in a 13-doctor practice in Maryland. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the pet health care team. Her compassion and love for animals shines through as she cares for them. She is a great educational advocate for the patient. She is a great communicator and enjoys discussing pet care with the pet owners. We are happy that she has joined our team. She is such an asset in providing patient care.
